God, give me patience.... NOW!!!!!!

I would ask that anyone reading this pray for me, as I struggle with "patience, that daily form of love" as the Holy father is quoted as so eloquently saying in The Ratzinger Report.

I certainly have found myself in an odd place in my life, just now, and I don't see any escaping it, ever.

(On the other hand, there's asparagus for dinner... I am easily cheered.)

Colin Mawby' "Vivace," and the Parish Idiot

... or is it Beverley Courtney's "Vivace"?
Anyway, if you are not subscribing to the choirtraining tips newsletter, you should.

The most recent emailed newsletter addressed the subject of your choir's deportment -- their story of a chorister dining during compline is, I think, bested, or at least equaled by mine of the bass who took a phone call during the consecration, "Oh, nothing much.... no, just at Mass.... yeah, maybe later."

Anyway, almost every choir has an idiot, hasn't it?
