The Arrogance of the Pro-Death Movement

You may recall the case of Haleigh Poutre, over 2 years ago she was beaten nearly to death by her step-father, and the Department of Social Services for the state of Massachusetts sought to finish the job for him, because she was in a persistent vegetative state , so really, she was no longer a human being, right, I mean, she wasn't even really alive, well, not alive with a life that deserved any kind of protection, she was not a creature entitled to the care on gives a human being, right?

So my question is, is "persistent vegetative state" a hoax perpetrated by medical "experts" who cannot bring themselves to admit that that there are things beyond their ken?

This is from a secular, commercial news medium:
"While Haleigh was in a coma, the state sought to remove her life support and triggered a national end-of-life controversy.
The girl, now 14, has recovered to the point where she can speak simple sentences and feed herself. She attends a day school in a Brighton pediatric rehabilitation center."
