Fr Samuel Weber OSB, the EF, and being part of the solution, not the problem

http://thecrescat.blogspot.com/2007/10/deo-gratias.html
Apparently, the fervent, funny, fantastic, faith-filled Father Weber will be offering Mass in the Extraordinary Form at Wake Forest.
I urge ANYONE, within a days driving range to attend. (I wish M would go... perhaps he can? I'll look at a map, and if it's feasible, tell him about it.)
Unfortunately, joy does not reign in all quarters, not even in those where one might have most confidently expected the news to have been well received.
Now, I understand that a child hoping for a pony might be disappointed by a puppy.
And I'm sure the "dissenters" are good people, but their objections are really arrogant, pride -- their actions are saying that they think the Mass itself is so puny and weak that its evangelical power, its ability to WORK MIRACLES is inferior to that of their stubbornness.
Don't they have any real faith in the potency of the Mass itself, of the properly celebrated Eucharist, which is the Source and Summit of our Faith?
Do they think their boycott (of what I can guarantee will be as reverent and well conducted as is humanly possible a Mass,) has a greater efficacy than the Mass itself?
Will a smaller turn-out impress the Bishop and other priests? convince them that the EF ought to be more widely celebrated, in a larger, more prominent venue?
Is the chancery going to say, "Aha, very few people attended, interest is as small as we predicted, therefore let us put more resources into this!"?
