USCCB Meeting

It seems at their autumn assembly they will finally get around to voting on a new music document ..... "Sing to the Lord: Music in Divine Worship, a revision of the guidelines for music at Mass."

Will this be the "revision " of MCW? and will it bring that bit of piffle into line with Musica Sacra?
And will it have any weight or authority?

I don't have very high hopes, but....

The BEST thing coming out of the confab will be Bishop Serratelli as new head of the BCL.

Serratelli would be good. Burke would be even better.

Brian, thanks for stopping by.
I disagree that Burke would be better, only because I believe that magnificnet mitred man best serves the Body of Christ acting, as he does now, as a bit of a gadfly, pricking the liturigcal and canonical consciences of his brother bishops and of Amercian catholics in general, and I would hate for him to need to rein himself in even slightly and be concilatory, as officials in the USCCB often need to be.

And since you stopped by, could I trouble you to think about posting a BMP "White List" of worthy CONTEMPORARY liturgical music?
And maybe persuading your blog mates to do the same?
