Is it possible that the American Psychiatric Association has an unspoken and less than noble rationale for some revisions to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders -- by claiming that madness is sanity, the sane who refuse to accept the claims become, by the APA's definition, insane, and that gives the psychiatric community a much larger potential pool of patients in need of their ministrations?

By temporarily affirming the mentally ill in his illness, psychologists and psychiatrists could actually intensify and prolong the disorder... same result, need to much more treatment.
