Victim Blaming

I have been told that I may have been guilty of such.
Perhaps.
But I do not believe that calling attention to the part an injured party has played in his or her own predicament, (as a warning to others who presumably do not want to suffer the same fate, which in some cases requires a grand jeté of faith, and more charity than I can always muster,), is in any way, shape or form the same as saying someone 'deserved what he got.'
Anyone who pokes every dog she meets with a sharp stick is eventually, besides injuring a lot of really sweet labs, probably going to be bitten by one that is not so forgiving.

Oh, and valorizing the brandishing of said sharp stick, excusing it as a different level of poking altogether by reminding the world that the good stick-wielder also attacked cats and ferrets?
Not gonna wash.....
