This is from a little memorial to a recently deceased priest on the website of some sisters whose main ministry seems to be "eco-justice."

From his academic beginning as a cultural historian, he has evolved to become a historian of Earth. He saw himself not as a theologian but as a "geolgian."

May the God that he so loved embrace him today and forever.

May he rest in peace -- but in whose arms? I know you capitalized the "G", but "theo" or "geo"? Who was it that he so loved?
