Jesus the Teacher?

I am sure it was not intended as a dig at anyone in particular, but not for the first time, the Holy Father seems tone deaf to some of his own phraseology.
Jesus is not a professor who speaks from the professor’s chair; rather, He goes among the people and lets them touch Him so that they can be healed.
So much for the "Both/And' of the Faith.
Because sometimes...
The disciples approached him and said, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” He said to them in reply, “Because knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been granted to you, but to them it has not been granted. To anyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; from anyone who has not, even what he has will be taken away. This is why I speak to them in parables, because ‘they look but do not see and hear but do not listen or understand.’
And...
With many such parables he spoke the word to them as they were able to understand it. Without parables he did not speak to them, but to his own disciples he explained everything in private.
Perhaps Pope Francis just means that Jesus never had tenure.....
