Bishop Nunzio Galantino to St John Fisher:

"The burden of exclusion from the sacraments is an unjustified price to pay," because  sacraments are really important, so exclusion from them would be mean..... wait, I mean exclusion from those other sacraments, not matrimony, I mean, it's not like marriage itself is a sacrament or anything.

“[Those in irregular marriages] live in their situation with great suffering,” he said, “and they perceive the church’s regulations as very severe."
So, you know.....sorry about that.  
Did you say they're "suffering"?
