Mother Sauces? or Old Maid Aunt Sauces....

(I realize I'm married now, but I feel I acquired HImself at an advanced enough age to qualify for permanent old maid status.)
Well, don't I feel dumb....

I thought mayonnaise, or salsa mahonesa as I am from this time onward going to call it, was one of the Mother Sauces, and that I could check that off my bucket mixing bowl list.

Well, no matter, I am still thrilled with my little successes, and shall carry on from here, (I already make a very creditable veloute and bechamel.)
