O Columba spes Scotorum!

Of course it's also St Columcille's feast day -- he was, as saints go, a bit of a bad-ass, and other than his Irishness is only endeared to me by having one of the sweetest and most singable of Irish hymntunes named after him. Although he has a bit of Catholic nerd blog traction right now, in light of a copyright issue, literally fighting, over, literally, a right to copy -- the Vulgate.

I have no objections to this warrior saint being taken as a patron of ours in the ongoing war against the Forces of Dimness who would try to enforce their ownership of, and right to profit by the very texts of the Mass.
