Diocese of Fort Wayne/South Bend Getting With the Program

WARSAW — Study “Music in Divine Worship: Tradition and Today” at this year’s Liturgy Day gathering from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 7 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 225 Gilliam Drive. Paul French, director of the William Ferris Chorale, a 24-voice professional choir in Chicago, and music director at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Chicago, will guide the two liturgical sessions. The first session will explore the impact on liturgy, the implications for clergy, parish music directors and the worshipping community and the evolution of the United States Bishops’ document, “Sing to the Lord: Music in Divine Worship,” has. Session two will examine the Gregorian chant. After each presentation there will be a question and answer session. Cost is $20 and must be received by Wednesday.
