Potential Rewards of Re-unification

With any luck -- now cut that out! no luck, with Grace, by the power of the Holy Spirit, one of the benefits of receiving faithful Anglicans homeward, romeward, would surely be exposure to and, dare one hope? even some incorporation of their rich liturgical traditions, their well crafted vernacular prayers, their words expressing the ineffable Word -- this, from the Book of Common Prayer, is a perfect example:
Prayer for Church Musicians and Artists
O God,

whom saints and angels delight to worship in heaven:
Be ever present with Your servants who seek through art and music to perfect the praises offered by Your people on earth;
and grant to them even now glimpses of Your beauty,
and make them worthy at length to behold it unveiled for evermore;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
(Incidentally the much-maligned, and not undeservedly, NPM has suggested the use of this prayer in the past. Credit where due...)
(Also credit to Lyn the Organ-ic Chemist, via whose blog I was reminded of the prayer)

Wow, perhaps its my ignorance but its not often I hear compliments from Rome about Anglican spirituality. Makes a nice change.

I agree, it is very beautiful.

Im not sure though if we Anglicans would particularly mind if Roman Catholics just incorporated some of our litugical expressions any way. If we would, I don't think we should.

The worship of God through Jesus Christ is the worship of God through Jesus Christ.

In my opinion, the body of Christ does not need to be institutionally united in order to be united. After all, friends and neighbours in a close knit community do not need to live in the same house.
