(a work in progress he says, and again, not quite what I was hoping for, which is a refutation of the canard that those who aspire to improve the musical quality of our liturgies "don't like anything new"... some of Elgar's music is glorious, but surely only Palestrina and Vittoria, shooting the breeze in heaven think of his output as "awfully decent stuff from that new kid.")
